On the 26th of January 2012 Chiltern Railways 67013 gathers speed shortly after its departure from Banbury with 1H32 Birmingham Moor Street - London Marylebone, in a few moments time the service will pass under the very busy M40 motorway

70015 applies the power at Cattybrook after crawling up the incline from Pilning with 4O70 Cardiff Wentloog - Southampton on the 2nd of November 2016, at this point this working was running over 90 minutes late due to a axle counter failure in the Patchway area causing chaos to all services


66748 struggles through Charfield on the 2nd of November 2016 while working 6V80 Gascoigne Wood - Portbury loaded Gypsum, the change from BST to GMT has not helped the sun angle here but the colour in the trees makes up for it (P)

66041 heads a rake of mainly ex RMC hoppers through Blanchworth on the 5th of October 2016 with the diverted 6Z35 Moreton-On-Lugg - Acton loaded stone, the reason for the diversion via Lydney, Gloucester, Bristol Parkway and Bath was the closure of the Severn Tunnel for several weeks in preperation for the behind schedule and over budget electrification of the GWML (P)


66513 heads through Blanchworth on the 5th of October 2016 with the diverted 4V22 Crewe Basford Hall - Stoke Gifford conveying just 4 x HXA wagons (P)


37612 + 37601 power through Flax Bourton on the 5th of October 2016 with 5Z61 Exeter Riverside - Eastleigh ecs working, this could be easily heard from over 2 miles away sounding very sweet indeed! (P)


Wearing the short term fix livery 66749 passes Charfield on the 23rd of June 2015 with 6V80 West Burton - Portbury loaded Gypsum (P)


43188 wearing the new livery for GWR passes through Bourton on the 7th of March 2016 with 1C18 London Paddington - Weston Super Mare, the only other power car to be repainted to date is 43187 which can be seen on the rear of the train, also only one set of coaches has been painted, I had seen those 15 minutes earlier heading in the opposite direction on a ECS working!


Wearing the now very outdated EWS livery but with brand new and very bright LED light clusters 66046 heads 6V47 Tilbury - Trostre through Bourton on the 7th of March 2016, just a few days previous DB Schenker announced that they were re branding the rail operations in the UK to DB Cargo, catchy!


59103 leads its rake of empty box wagons while working 6C48 Appleford - Whatley (terminated at Westbury) through Bourton on the 7th of March 2016, unusually seen tagged on the rear is 66047, I was not expecting to see this working on this day as the balancing working from Whatley had not run in the morning, after browsing RTT though it showed that the inbound train originated at Dagenham Dock


43146 wearing the vinyl application of Building A Greater West passes Shrivenham while working 1C12 London Paddington - Bristol Temple Meads on the 7th of March 2016 and evindence of the Greater West that GWR are on about! A pair of fully driven in piles can be seen along with one just discarded down the embankment, to the left of the picture is a tiny amount of the clutter on site for the electrification project, what was once a clean and peaceful location to visit is now a mess


Freightliner Heavy Haul loco 66513 leads a failed 66571 through Bourton on the 7th of March 2016 with 4L31 Bristol Freightliner Terminal - Felixstowe, the faliure of 66571 resulted in late running which meant the sun was at a worse angle, however had it turned up on time it would have been pretty cloudy as after a spakling start a rapid cloud build had occured as well as a biting northely wind


43126 wearing the striking full vinyl livery Bristol 2015 European Green Capital heads through Bourton on the 7th of March 2016 while working 1L42 Carmarthen - London Paddington, in recent times this cutting has had some vegetation clearance in readiness for the masts arriving in the very very near future!


As a huge blanket of cloud covers the western side of the UK a filthy 70808 heads 6X50 Westbury - Bescot through a sparkling Bourton on the 7th of March 2016, a decent consist on this occasion including the tilting point carriers towards the rear of the train


43132 'We Save the Children - Will you?' passes Bourton on the 7th of March 2016 while working 1L28 Worcester Shrub Hill - London Paddington


A huge amount of long overdue vegetation clearance has taken place between Severn Tunnel Junction and Newport, one of the locations to benefit is the Bishton Flyover which not that long ago resembled a jungle. On the 4th of March 2016 DB Schenker liveried 60092 can be seen leading 6B13 Robeston - Westerleigh


43186 is seen at the front of 1L42 Carmarthen - London Paddington GWR service at Bishton on the 4th of March 2016


66206 heads slowly through Undy on the 4th of March 2016 with 6M96 Margam - Corby loaded steel coils, in the background can be seen the replacement footbridge in readiness for electrification, it is certainly a ugly piece of metal work!


43144 branded with Building A Greater West passes Challow on the 24th of February 2016 while working 1A11 Bristol Temple Meads - London Paddington, not 100% sure about the branding of this power car maybe 'Ugly, Over Budget, Behind Schedule' would be more appropriate?

43164 still wearing full First Great Western livery powers up the incline at Pilning on the 11th of February 2016 with 1L52 Swansea - London Paddington, this is the first time I have seen a HST in over 6 months and for the past few months I have heard and seen adverts for GWR stating that they have removed all branding of the previous franchise and are commited to building a greater West, what a load of marketing balls!!
